Im realativly new at WS and just checking on how does the majority of WS's use there exp points. All at once or 1 point at a time and do you put most or all of it into damage or a few in damage and the rest into durabitlity ect ect.

I use 2 points at a time all into damage and any left over go to durability but its all going to change soon. Some experimentation lines are going, some are being added.

Well, right now, everyone is looking for max damage so use as many points in the damage line first. If you are using looted items I would suggest drinking brandy and using one point at a time. If you are not using looted items you can use 2 points at a time until you get the result you want.
As far as what to use left over points for that depends on the weapon. For geo weapons you might want to put the points into durability. For nades you might want improved ranged mods.
And since you are new I'll suggest one more thing. If you are going to make a weapon with expensive loot, make a trial run of that weapon first without the looted components. That way, you will have an idea of what makes the best sense as to where to put your extra points.

Thanks for the tips. WS is turning into more of a challenge than I thought it would be. Mostly because of the resource requirements, So hard to find plumbum and polonium with high oq and cond- Most of what I find have nice stats in one but lousy in the other.

When I used to craft... I used to use all the points up front on damage, and then I'd decide based on the stats of the weapon which would be the best 2nd thing to experiment. In many cases, I just dumped them into Condition.
But don't put much stock in this answer now, with CU coming Live this week. It's gonna be very very very different...

I experiment all my points into damage at once, if any boxes left I keep experimenting than usually 2 points or more left goes into durability.

Be aware that, with the exception of OQ, all the resources have caps on particular stats.
This thread provides a good description of how it works and what the caps are.
For instance, the range for CD on Polonium is 45 - 144.

6-2-2 was what I found worked best. however in the new system no one really knows yet what will work best so we will have to run some tests and get a general idea of how the exp impacts the final results.

Someone above suggested drinking brandy? I use Bespin Port, is that what you meant? It looks similar.Ohand also you can use Pyollian cake...I'd suggest taking both, especially when making weapons with high end loot drops and youare using a very limited supply of a high end, rare resource spawn. I usually experiment damage all at once and usually I'll end up with 2 -1 points left over, andrarely 3 points left over(depends what I'm crafting andhow the experimentationcame along.and I'll decide if it should go into condition or range, I'm an 11 pt. smith)
