Thread: So what's a Weaponsmith to do?

I have the good fortune of getting caught by surprise by the CU. I have 4 factories that have various legacy components - including 700+ ABPH. Craft new weps or wait for a nerf? Which ones should I make. New versions of old stuff or the new schems? I almost feel guilty about it, but I don't want to blow a good chance. Any advice?

I would make some new Componats to see which is better... then make what ever strikes your fancy.
When I logged in to check it out this morning before work I used some old Handlers and Sword cores to make some of the new Pistols and RSF Swords.

Pre CURB componets seem to have much better stats, but from my testing so far the final combine is not showing much of a difference really. Then take into account that slicing will most likely cap the weapon for speed or damage and the final dps will likely be very close.

these so called caps don't seem to be there. only beenable to hit them with wound and action cost. if i can't hit them with +102 gorax bones or +126 tissues i dought a 6% slice will ever hit the cap

I tested it out on some pistols before going to work. There isn't a huge difference, but it's noticeable in the DPS. Plus, the action cost is 10-15 points lower. I'm planning on using up what I have just under the assumption that the devs will probably hotfix it when they work all the other bugs out.
