I just need to know what items to grind as novice, which trees to go up first, and where to get the good resources.

Grind Weapon Upgrade Kits then hit Firearms I. Mine LOTS of steel and grind Projectile Rifle Barrels. Get your experimentation line done then go up the others. Happy grinding!
