Ok i just hit master, and i wanted to know is it better not to put scopes on my guns, it seems to make the hams really bad.

Adv scopes are crap unless you have exceptional quality on all required materials, normal scope has much less HAM and only slightly worse accuracy on most servers.

I craft 12 or 13range, 1/1/1 HAM non advanced scopes into every gun and schematic that will take one.

The only weapon where i obviously wanted to use a scope was a LLC. I would probably put one on a T21 and flamethrower if I could.

Normally, I'd say the DX2 pistol, but i'm a master pistoleer, and up at that level, accuracy is still pretty good.

But i think scopes provide the most benefit to inaccurate users. And heavy weapons users NEVER have really high accuracy mods.

I'm referring to "zero ham" scopes, of course.

If you put all 10 points into efficiency on the scopes you can get them down to 0/0/0. They'll still have +10 ideal range accuracy with no points into range.

I do the same as Midge. I put a low HAM scope on every gun. Even if it only adds +10 or +13 to the weapon, it's not bad considering it doesn't really change the HAMs. And no, No skill tapes, but if you'd like to give me one, I'd be more than willing to accept it.

No skill tapes here either. Well I have some but not quite enough yet to get that 11th experimentation point. I get 1/1/1 HAM and 12 range easy just using good resources.

Its WELL worth adding 1/1/1 to any gun for 12 extra range no matter what gun it is. Even Scatter pistols that have a fantasticideal range modifier to begin with.

The answer...always use scopes. Just exp the ham usage down to 0. Zero ham scopes still, for me, add around a +7 mid range mod and a couple of points to the wound %. WELL worth it, IMO.

I can usually get it down to 0 in 8-9 tries, leaving one extra for either range or wound %... I named them "Great Weapon Scopes" - no downside. Only plus...
