I am asking because I am looking to have a laser carbine made, and there is some theme park loot out there that is -.7 to speed and 20-24 damage.

So to me, if a master 12 pt can make a barrel that has damage above and beyond that, then to me the theme park stuff wouldn't be worth it - but if you guys can only make it so that it is 10-20 points more damage, then maybe its better to have the speed reduction....

Bingo. At best you can get more range.

If you can findRhodium steel with CD near the cap (which has spawned onsome servers, I think) you can push the damage on advanced blaster pistol and rifle barrels up to 16-16 and 12-12, respectively. But that's dependent on resources, not experimentation points.

Ok, so I take it the blaster pistols go into pistols, and blaster rifle go into rifles, but which go into carbines?

Or does it matter - in other words, can a blaster rifle barrel go into a pistol, and vice versa?

Blaster pistol barrels go into pistols, blaster rifle barrels go into rifles and carbines. Unless they use projectile barrels
