I am making DXR6-B rifles with ideal range mods of 117, I am wondering however whether there is anypoint to this as I have only ever seen the modifier in combat reach 100.

Can anyone comment on this issue?

I am thinking perhaps that it would be better make the weapons with better wound chance rather than ideal range if the ideal range over 100 is ignored.

I've made some laser rifles that hit +167 Ideal Range, they rarely miss... great noob rifles.

Yes, the >+100 rifles doo work exactly as advertised. They're a wonderfull thing for those PvP against the defence stackers with the huge ranged defence bonuses, for targets that won't stop moving, or for close range combat where we need a monster Ideal to help offset the dismal PB we have.

I made a tuscan rifle with +210 to Range with legendary barrles and scopes.

We tested it on a jedi master lightsaber with a rifleman that had Master and the +20 to accuracy plus the citris snow cake.

He was sucessful to hit 46/50 times.

Ive never seen a +120 DXR6b rifle pull those odds.
