Hello, I need to repair an exceptional T21. My WS Character has no repair tapes, I heard that repair tapes are bugged. Have a jedi friend who has FS repair tree. however, he said that he can fail sometimes. What should I do? Which one should I choose to repair that baby? Any help?
thank you.

Find a ws with fs repair, would be your best bet though the weapon can still break..

And another thing, you should always get a weapon like that repaired before it hits 50% condition, but not before it goes below 75%. That's the sweet spot for repairs, if it goes to lower the maximum, your not cutting out the upper condition, but its still got a high chance of getting minor blemishes. In my experience people tend to overlook this, but its well worth while (especially on exceptional weapons) to get it done at the right time.

In my experience both before and after the FS repair skill, it's completely random. But it is true that you chances of a crit fail increase asymptopically (yeah I spelled it wrong) when it's lower than 50%

an exceptional T21 repaired by a WS who has FS repair tree. Condition before repair is 388/712 after repair 569/569. I think there is no difference. In my opinion, repairquality is random but I think fail chance is reduced by FS mod.

This is my theory on ws repair and weapon smith repair.
I don't believe fs repair decreases your chance to get a crit fail. There's always a 5% chance.
I can't remember all the repairs, but just work with me
Master WS with no FS (example - this is probably not true) lol
5% - Crit Fail
25% -Crap Repair
55% - Good Repair
20% - Minor blemishes
Or Whatever
Master WS with FS Repair
5% - Crit Fail
15% - Standard Repair
40% - Good Repair
40% - Minor blemishes
etc etc - This is a different angle and I know the numbers are all wrong as are the repairs, but you see where I'm coming from.
I really need to stop reading the forums at 2:30 in the morning

Weapon repair starts to get riskier below 25%. This directly from the source.
