Thread: Resource related memories or stories ?

I was wondering... do any of you have any resource related nostalgic stories?
I'll go first:
Omninehiate, CD 993:
It was when I was gathering this particular copper that I first -understood- the importance of high stats when it came to the end quality of the items. At that time I was a poor struggling master artisan on my way to WS and I gathered as much of this as I could. I think I got about 150k of it before it despawned. With this copper I made 14.97 Crafting tools that I sold at the bazaar for 5000-6000 each. It's no exagguration to say that this one resource put me through "weaponsmith college". I still have some of this left and actually smile a little every time I use it to craft something.
Some Irolunn reactive gas, OQ 300-400:
This took place during the long Chimaera Irolunn draught. That gas is needed for the advanced power handlers and it hadn't spawned for 7-8 months. It was the only named resource I needed to have a complete weaponsmith resource stock. So I was traveling all over the galaxy trying to get ahold of some. But it was nowhere to be found. The weaponsmiths who had some where holding on to theirs, wisely so.
Then, by coincidence I visited a merchant tent that advertised some cheap resources. To my amazement I found some of this gas. 10k units. For 5 cpu. I had to double check that it actually was the gas I needed. It was. I bought all they had.
Later I was able to sell 500 units for 150 cpu, and about 1000 units for 70-80 cpu. Probably my most profitable purchase ever.
And now I having a hard time selling some OQ 963 Irolunn for 5 cpu. Bah.
So. What's your story ?

Couple of weeks ago I wasn mining some polonium iron on Naboo, outside of Kadaara. I have 3 toons right now and a admin macro that I use on structures.
I dropped the harvs with toon-A and used the macro on it. Couple of days later I knew it was running low on power so I logged toon-B on since I know she had some power on her. Went to where I thought my harvs were but couldn't find them. Drove around for a bit and then finally gave up. Logged out and signed on toon-A to email the waypoint to toon-B. Re-logged toon-B and drove to the waypoint. Got there and figured out that I didn't have toon-B in my admin macro.
Re-looged toon-A and took him there to do the admin thing. I hadn't logged him out at home so he didn't have any power with him. Got him there, did the admin update, the hopped planets and parked him in his house. Logged back onto toon-B. Drove back out to deposit power. Also decided to empty the hoppers. Got to the first one and noticed that the iron had respawned. It had been inspawn the couple of minutes before when the owner was there. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr............./
Re-logged too-A to go there and pick up the harvs that were now mining earth.
