So I'm trying to grind through FS crafting, finally got all the resources needed and started working on my macro...

this grind is brutal

Has anyone else done it?

Just wondering if there are any tricks etc that I haven't considered yet.

Yeah, pick up DE 0004 and grind Binary Load Lifter Chassis which give 4200 XP in practice mode. You will have to make like 37k or so components (providing you are doing all four branches) and use insane amounts of resources but to me it's a far better alternative. I'd rather take the time getting my components and resources together than enduring an endless grind. To make it easier, I set up 7 factories outside the village for component production and component/resource storage. I've only gotten started but in the 6-8 hours I've spent grinding so far I've gotten to Assembly 3.

I was thinking the same, I was just going to do the advanced chassis that only uses steel and fiberplast but that 4200xp looks pretty sweat.

Yeah, you're looking at like 1300 BLL's per line versus like 7400 or so per line for HWM (don't recall the exact numbers). Of course you need like 14k components per line but the resources are fairly generic and quality doesn't matter. It only takes 57 BLL's to max the 240k limit for DE, so you see progress pretty quickly as you'll max XP every half hour or so.

Get your mouse to do double click when you click once. I can do upto 10/minute. If you do it solidly you can have a tree done in about 3 hours. (quick maths here)

Is that a setting on my computer or in the game?

I did it with HWM. Get a good in-game grinding macro. I was capping WS xp every 30-ish minutes. It's brutal, but not impossible. And you don't have to make a bunch of components. I finished the entire FS experimentation line in one weekend, grinding about 8 hoursa day...and that's about the only tree you really need anymore. Alternatively, you can pace yourself and just do two hours a day...you can fill out a tree in one phase that way.

The macro I'm using now, takes me all the way to where I select the resources, then its manual the rest of the way.

It's taking about 15secs per combine but I pretty much have to stare at the screen the whole time.

I remember doing the barrels the first two times I did weaponsmith and i could pretty much watch tv the whole time.

Manual the rest of the way? My macro brings me to click on resources, then takes me past that then back to the resource screen. I find with my mouse and a good clicking motion going I can do it in about 20mins. 10crafts/minute

I don't think I get any exp using the regular macro because you have to be next to a crafting station.

That would be awesome if it worked, how'd you do it?

Full answer, get a droid with a crafting station. Also make sure you have 3 /nextcraftingstage in your macro instead of the 2 normal for when you dont have a station.
