Thread: Whats more important? Human +15 artisan expermintation or Fish +10 weapon assembly?
What is more important to becoming a master Weaponsmith? Is the human experimentation bonus??? Or the Fish +10 weapon assembly??
I have always wondered this . Please explain.
Thanks
The artisan assembly bonus won't help at all on anything in the Weaponsmith tree, so don't worry about that at all.
In my opinion the fish bonus doesn't nearly make up for the fact that I don't want to be a fish. Personally I chose to be a Wookie weaponcrafter so I could make Bowcasters. I don't think the extra +10 Assembly bonus is really a very big deal at all. I certainly haven't missed it.
ok first things first, Mon Calamari means squid. Squid are Cephalopods not fish.
Second Rodian also have the +10 weapon assembly.
a +15 to artisan experimentation relates to weaponsmithing HOW? .. exactly ... it doesnt, thats an apples and oranges comparison. The only artisan stuff we make as weaponsmith are powerups (if you feel the need to steal business from starving novices) and the master artisan items in which quality has no bearing on the weapon so dont bother experimenting so they factory faster. Oh, forgot to throw WUKs in there too. But really - ive almost never think 'boy that extra point sure would help' on powerups and wuks as I hit 99% as it is (gated by resourcesI am certain).
I dont critical fail nearly as much as i am hearing others complain about so maybe that +10 is helping, i dunno.
Dont overlook Wookies - they are the only ones that can make bowcasters which could be fun to make I would imagine.
Rodians get +10 assembly too without being ugly and smelly (well maybe they are but who knows)
though that +10 assembly doesnt seem to do jack
well the human experimentation is nice when you do repair kits, wuks, powerups, and other pieces.
biggest issue i have is that you have to make parts from master artisan for some weapons yet they do absolutely nothing in the weapon, its just a waste of materials basically.

As a Fishy Master WS, I seem to not get as many critical failures on assembly as other WS's have complained about on this board. Maybe that's where the +10 comes in.
I second this....not being a fish, but having very few critical failures, less than what I hear other people having... and I'm way better looking than a mon cal. ![]()
the +15 experientation really doesn't help you at all. I'm a master artisan and i find myself always having 1 extra experimintation point. I guess it can help a very little with control units. but really it doesn't matter. Which sucks cos it should matter a lot.
yea, why even experiment control units since it doesnt matter. Less experiments = faster factory completion on those suckers. ![]()
