i left about a month after the CU hit , even tho i was dreading it i gave it a shot but found it took most of the fun out of the proffesion, unable to "shine" in the marketplace as i felt i once had , most smiths weapons had become almost identical (introduction of hardcap), the differance in stats with the new system was negigable.
lack of variation between weapons types , lvl 60 weapons were all nigh on identical but with diff skins.
the overhual off the previous loot system , leaving most of my "stash" worthless or only used in low lvl weapons (Geo loot, ect ect).
lack of any new loot based weapon schematics .
basically i got bored,
and yet i miss crafting loads , swg's crafting and commerce system prior to the cu was some of the finest game time ive ever had.
has there been anything implimented since my time away that is worthy of me reactivating my account?

Unfortunately Crafters make up a small percentage of the Subscription base, Thus they do not bring in as much money to SOE as do Combatants, who make up the vast majority of Subscriptions.
So SOE will cater to the Combatants as much as possible, nixing crafters because that is a more profitable thing to do.
Eventually i will forsee NPC weaponsmiths, who will sell weapons. And the Crafting game will be abolished. Except for Artisan.
Even though SWG has the most complex, fun, challenging, and exciting crafting of any game. It DID have a free market system run by players, that was so exhilerating and fun, however the CU dried up that economy to a shriveled shell of what it once was.
I CHALLANGE any Dev, SOE member, anyone who means anything to SOE to reply to this post, and tell me that i am wrong. If you do not than you are sending a strong message saying that you do not give any care whatsoever for crafters.
Come on SOE big shots, prove me wrong. Show us that you care about us crafters.
I challange you

If those are your reasons for leaving, don't bother coming back. The market is being flooded with ADK'd Double capped weapons. The only reason I'd say to consider is to see how the expansion pans out and see if there are any new and interesting schematics found with the little cube deal they stole from Diablo II.

Could always find a niche like crafting exploited weapons
