Sell in BULK!

Put up a crate of weapons on your vendor, make sure you advertise (to smugglers especially!), and that's one huge chunk of change.

I don't know if I could sell 25 regular republic blasters individually, but when I put a crate up it's gone pretty quickly.

Also, stock a few smuggler supplies, like Weapon Upgrade Kits (quality doesn't matter on these: I've talked to *MANY* master smugglers)

Two kinds of people will buy weapons off your vendor in bulk:

The rich player who wants an "uber" slice (IE: 35% damage or something), or the smuggler who resells weapons, sliced.

advice on how to keep rare weapons in stock make in BULK sell limited quantities adjust the vedors advert to say all items restocked daily max of 5 weapons per type per day hey if they missed you to day they will be back tomarrow especially if they see a crate of 25 sitting on the floor next to the vendor oh and WUK's sell great especially if you can get a smuggler to run you some knife and clamp schets to go with them (one stopshoping is always nice) oh and offer lowwer end weapons in bulk the level 2 slicer will be back for the WUKs when he makes master

i have a hard time keeping my WUKs in stock (turns out that im suppliing 10 master smugglers) and im having a hard time keeping the clamps in stock as well (1 dedicated factory to each takes 2 days to sell out)

I'm a pretty new weaponsmith trying to make a living off of melee weapons only. My problem with selling weapons in bulk is that as a newer weaponsmith, i don't have the resources, capital, and connections to have a constant supply of required materials. My friend set up a vendor for me near coronet, and sold approximately 30 VK's to the same person within 1 hour of advertising my wares. Now, the problem I have is that these were adv. vibro unit VK's. Solid Petro 3 hasn't spawned in approximately 3-4 months. I had to buy off my friend to make enough Vibro units for 100 VK's, 50 LVA's, 50 VL's, 100 VB's. within 2 days of making my VK's, 1/3 of my stock is gone. Short term, great. I made around 150k in 20 minutes. But now i have to ration my sales in order to not lose face to those who come to my vendor expecting VK's of the same quality, or any VK's at all (as i refuse to make any weapons without their advanced components). I believe while the bulk weapons will make you the quick buck, I'm not so sure that it will be the best way to spread your rep, especially if you're resources are lacking (like me). and WUK's don't sell as well as people think. better off going around repairing for tips.

I don't bother with VKs myself. I love making melee weapons (a little more than guns, they are a bit simpler), but I don't bother with anything that uses a vibro unit.

and my advice to making money is the weaponsmith biz is to wait. it takes time and resources to make good money. if you want to dabble in every weapon even though you dont have the best resources then price them accordiingly. i could honestly say i am one of the top smiths on my server and i sell from 70 to 100 weapons a day and bring in at least 1 mill a day. it took me about 4 months to get to where i am right now. so be patient and stick to it and you will be fine.

i really hope that poeple arent becommin master weaponsmiths because they think they can cash in right away. it is not goin to happen. it takes time and money and then some more time. i thikn there is like 40 different resrouces needed to make every weapon and gettin all the best ones is not an overnight process. it is goin to take time and if you can do it and make wepaons along the lines of the top smiths on yoru server then you will be ok. if you want quick money then you are in the wrong biz.

VKs are popular, but there are just some weapons players don't want to make. And I don't like making VKs.

I make around 3 million credits a week, which is more than enough for me.

And no one wants a VK unless it's the "best" , and I'll leave that to the weaponsmiths that focus on VKs primarily. IMO it's not worth the effort when the market is so competitive on VKs.

Just my opinion on things as a new to the market WS.
