Scopes and Stocks, do you always use them if able, advanced or basic, and what do you experiment on?

I make regular scopes and experiment fully on efficiency. I can get my scopes to a +10 range mod with a zero HAM penalty!
This obviously does not compare well to the range mod if you experiment on range, but the HAM penalties are bad enough as it is. I like these scopes becuase the better your weapons without penalty.
