HAH! so I had some friends who played on Bria and made a char there to be purely crafter. My escape from the combat-jedi grinder I have on gorath.

Kinda fun to do crafting but man I think I'm in over my head. I always like quality over quantity so I decided not to sell anything until I made master. Grinded to master with some help (friends loaned me some harvesters to use made it alot easier).

Now I'm still short the app points, and even then I'll be a master only in character title =P. I was browsing swgcraft trying to make a spreadsheet of all the resources I need to start looking for categorized by the stat that matters when my brain exploded all over the keyboard.... got that cleaned up but man there's a lot of stuff to keep up with if you want to enter the business making all advanced subcomponents and all the high end weapons.

So I tend to post alot and you'll see me here babbling every so often now that I'm officially a weaponsmith. Asking stupid questions like: what's a good conductivity rating for iron? Are metals the ONLY resources we use that even have a conductivity stat? How in the world do you keep up with checking all the resources?

Hope to have my name on the map in th near future with top notch weapons =D!

P.S. I'm good at reading the FAQs and stuff. Going to do that now, Thought I'd add this since I just saw one of the first parts is there is already a list with all the resources I need (DOH!). Ah well good hard work never hurt anyone.

Don't know why you were one-starred, mate. You sounds verty enthusiastic and sincere about your desire to be a good weaponsmith which is always a good thing.

You're right, it is a complicated profession and there is going to be a lot of stuff to keep track of. This is something I have slowly been coming to terms with as I slowly (ever so slowly) grind out my skill tree to make master (just got my 4th tier in the crafting techniques branch last night, check my sig [yeah, I'm a n00b too]). My advice would be to just take your time, start out small, and work your way up. just because you are a Master by title doesn't mean you have to be pumping out flamethrowers and rocket launchers your first day. Start simple and work your way into the harder stuff as you get more resources and your personal skill (yours, not your character's) increases.

And don't be afraid to ask questions. That's what these forums are for.
