probably been said b4 but i just cant help thinking where are we gonna stand after these new additions to the game, were not going to be needed in JTL infact its looking like well have no part to play in JTL whatsoever , and come publish 10 were gonna see people rushing for there jedi slots leaving a small % staying as they are, yeah sure theyll still need some weapons here and there but for the rest of the population, unless we can start crafting lightsabres
weve lost our market, i for one have experienced a slight loss as all the big spenders seem to be playing with jedi, wich is rightly so , but now that there no longer a minority in this game and are about to grow even more in numbers , i cant see certain crafting proffesions like ours doing so well. archi will always do well, chef to but i have doubts for AS and WS, whats your thoughts on the matter?

... Jedi are the majority?
Also the question about where weaponsmiths fit in can be asked the same: well were do rifleman fit or or where do doctors fit in. Doctors should be able to heal the ship right? Heh.

I think so. First of all, I have talked to alot of players, and only about 20% are going to full time jedi. Most of the others are just going to get the force powers for the main chars.
As for JTL, All ships will be repairable, so, the money for ship builders will be in repair parts. How do you think people will make there money, ground missions!
WS and AS will always have a job in here. The Jedi quests and JTL will not changed that in the long run. We still have the GCW and Combat fixes to look forward to!

I'm really really really hoping they add ship upgrades to other profession e.g.Shield Generators to Armorsmiths, Laser Cannons to Weaponsmiths, Astro Driods to Droid Engineers. Soooo a Shipwirght will need to see each of these profession to buy thier componets to make the best ships, of course they can make a basic ship on thier own but a true combat worthy ship like the X-Wing will need all the above componets

I agree with Sherina
Keep weaponsmith's involved somewhere, even if its in the higher-end loot builds.

Well I was at the San Diego con and I was basically asking things like this. I was kind of probing asking about the jedi path and such and some of the new things that will happen JTLS which all sound awesome to me. The one thing though that gave me hope was they were talking about reverse engineering that ship wrights can do with dropped components to make an item more powerful and such. I asked the question well is this going to be a ship wright only profession or will other artisan professions be able to do this. I was told that basically they will be using the ship wrights to see how this ability works and if if goes well we can expect the other crafting professions to get this ability down the line.I always hoped we would get this ability and looks likeI might come true.
