You will have a better chance finding your WS on the Starsider forums, as its possible they don't read here

Don't quote me on this, but if I recall correctly the bowcaster is an artisan weapon and not a WS made weapon

It uses Weapon Experimentation to craft.
YOu have to be Novice Weaponsmith to actually make it, but you only get 1 or 2 experimentation points so it is going to be a generally bad weapon unless you have a master make it.

On top of finding a MWS the MWS has to be a Wookie. Race secret and all. I haven't met many Wookie MWS. Hope you find one and I hope it is worth the time looking for one.
