I'm currently building some heavy particle beam cannons and will be building some rocklet launchers too.. my questions is whether it is worth building advanced components to put in them? Will the bonus damage, etc be worth all the trouble of collecting the very specific required resources?

I would say it all depends on what your resources. Make one of each component, advanced and basic, and then compare them.
For example, with my resources I can make standard rifle barrels that are 2 pts lower in damagethan my adv. ones but they are .15 faster.

the Proton Grenades used in Rocket Launchers don't affect the RL's stats. So, use the crappiest resourcesyou have to make the proton grenades and the components for the grenades.

Well for scopes you can get them down to zero HAM for normal scopes.

Really? Well, shoot, maybe I'll start stocking rocket launchers, then.
Let's have this turn into a tips thread!

Maybe if they start acting like Jedi... ![]()

Use the regular components... people will not notice the damage loss while noticing the improved speed... as far as accuracy goes its up to you whether or not you use a regular or adv scope (but higher accuracy is always nice)...

You can get normal scopes down to displaying 0 HAM but they will still add 1 HAM to the final weapon so you may as well experiment an adv scope down to 1 HAM instead for slightly better range mods if HAM is a concern.
