I am not a weaponsmith, nor am I really any sort of crafter. I make my own stims, but that's about all I have the patience for, so you may have to speak in small words, as I am a crafting moron. So here are my questions...
1) What are the best range mods that can be attained on a Scythe? I have seen +10's across the board (Thank you Stettin!
), and this appears to be the best, comparing to other Scythes I've seen, but I'm not sure.
2) What are the things that can be experimented upon when crafting the weapon? Such as, Max Damage, Range mods, Min damage, Speed etc.
3) What quality Geo Cubes (Damage wise obviously), and Solidifying agents would make the best Scythe? I.E. What are some of the best of these componentsthat you Weaponsmiths see on a semi-regular basis?
4) What do you consider GOOD stats on a looted sword core, in comparison to a crafted sword core?
I hope that these aren't stupid questions, but if they are feel free to flame me

Usually range mods are anywhere from the low negatives to up to the 30's for ideal range. Base yellow cubes and solidifying agents most WS can make around 190-335 scythe blade. Weapon experimentation is as follows:
Damage Exp. (min, max, speed, wound - all on the same bar)
Durability Exp. (total condition)
Effiency Exp. (HAM cost)
Range Exp. (Range mods)
Any cores with over 40/40 stats would be considered pretty decent.

usually, crafted cores are better than looted ones, I have no hard numbers as I tend to craft firearms over melee weapons. but u can occasionally loot high end sword cores.

Honestly, if you get a set of 6 sword cores that are even like 30/30 I would use them. Also sometimes you can get some very nice speed cores. I got some -1.1 speed cores and made a awesoem speed scythe hoping for a dmg slice but gota speed. When making ascythe with normal crafted cores you will get all range mods the same. But when crafting with looted cores you usually get very high ideal mod but low point blank and max. The looted cores are usually also fairly low ham.

Okay, another question, this time about Powerhammers... I just looted a set of 6 cores, 29-37 damage -.6 speed, 52 Ideal range. Are these worth turning into hammers, or would a crafted set of cores be more accurate, and faster? Honestly mostly what I'm looking for, since I'm the world's last uncapped swordsman, is speed, and accuracy... Thanks for you help folks!

Well to make sure you know, you will need reinforcement cores for hammers. They will only be .1 second faster and the ideal range is very good. They will be like -40/**/-40 though so at point blank or max you will suffer a major penalty. Only problem with looted cores is they dont add to all range mods just ideal. Hopefully they can fix this. if you would liek me to slap together the hammers for you just send me a tell.

answer: the best range mods would be at a gigantic cost to speed/damage. one could in theory max out the range on a player crafted geonosian sword core. then during the experimentation of the actual scythe, one could max out the range. i'd bet that the range could max out around 40/40/40. but the damage and condition wouldnt be very good.

I was recently master Swordsman and can tell you a nice core like that would be great in a PH. Your max damage will still be around 465 or so max and 5.2 speed but the range will be pretty close to 0 or even positive (my best are -18 or so with crafted cores). With a nice dmg slice it would be even better.

Depending on the resources i can makd 42/52 sword cores out of basic adhesives and cubes. Waiting for a friend to try to make some out of +20 and +16/+19
