I'm hoping these will be well rec'd. I'm a former master commando/master smugglerthat is going after the BH pistol tree at the cost of some commando skills and I need to make some weapon changes(I'm on wanderhome)

I have crates of proton grenades I can't use anymore..and I discovered they are used in rocket launchers..which I can use..does the quality of them matter? could I slice them or put PUP's on them to make it better? (I doubt it) and what could I hunt down to add to the recipe? things like krayt and gorax parts seem out of the question for price..what about form fitted stocks? is that over kill? maybe the scopes from the imp theme park? no one seems to want them.

I have 4 base gorax shards and I was thinking of trying to get 4 tangles made and hope for a good slice for a good stun pistol since I can't use a geo..is this rediculous?

thank you for your time

ok on Rocket Launcher. No, quality of protons dont maters and since they are charge based weapons any loot items for them IMO are total waste (RL cant have stocks btw only scopes and +40 crafted ones are better that theme park reward ones)

about gorax bones, well you can use it in tangle it is yur bonens after all, but most WS will say that you are wasting them

Okay yes protons go into rocket launchers. Yes your saveing a smith time since protons are the most time consumeing part of Rocket launcher construction, but you also have to understand that rocket launchers eat up awesome amounts of items like eight projectile feed mechs. Result you couldnt add gorax if you wanted to. Is it actually worth doing unless you are really into the GCW. These items are ninety percent used for takeing down atsts or turrets. If you are not fighting these the weapon is nearly useless. Insanely inaccurate, and slow.

Asfor the gorax how often do you actually think you are going to need stun damage. I say atleast get a fwg5 made along with a tusken rifle. The fwg for heat. The tusken rifle has a far more balanced range then a laser rifle. So its good for first strikes. I have found that these are good weapons to boost.

Well, you can add gorax bones and/or krayt tissue to a rocket launcher. I made one with both which effectively made me a weapon with the highest cost per shot ratio in the game. Since neither one adds a tremendous amount of damage to awesome damage of a rocket launcher, it was easily over shadowed by an average slice, however, it is the fastest damage sliced rocket launcher atleast on Shadowfire.

Gorax shards in a tangle will be interesting. Since you're not going pistoleer, then its your only choice for stun damage. And if you get a really good set of shards, you can probably match a crafted geo pistol in stats.

I agree with above poster and say that you should put the gorax shards into a launcher pistol(if you have novice commando). I dont know rifles at all but when do you get certed for the jawa rifle.. I dont think this is a novice rifle cert so I would go with a jawa rifle over a ap0 130 damage tangle pistol if you want stun damage... I guess speed is an issue for rifles if you only have rifles 4 and master marksmen.

Jawas do not use projectile feed mechs.

It still dosent negate with a decent enhancement a tusken rifle can be a hell of a weapon. You have to have rifles 4 so put it to some good use. The tusken rifles is one of those maligned weapons. The truth is you as a master marksman which do you prefer. A more constant shot, or a shot with higher damage but less constant. I prefer a safer shot myself. When useing rifles as a BH the goal is to get off one or two clean shots before switching to a primary.

P.S. not sure off the top of my head but I think a featherweight fwg5 only uses one projectile feed. So if you use that and some modest tapes you will get a fantastic surprise. Since that gun already has some skill mods dashed in.

I was refering to stun damage rather than the projectile feed mechanism.

first I want to thank everyone for responding

Varp: your advice sounds good I will try to have my protons made into rocket launchers with crafted scopes.

ana-mo-cara: the high dam hvy ap blast dam is useful. and a crate of them in my bandolier will make feel better

CrashNgoBoom: I could never krayt and gorax a rocket launcher I ain't got the creds

AspiringBountyHunter: this was my thought..I can't spare the points to get the geo cert and how often do you see tangles out there?

P__Dayand ZandergeefI'm leaning toward making 2 tangles ans 2 launchers from your advice..I'm shying from rifles since I can't low blow or last ditch with them

CorenLanra great link! thank you! I'll head over to wanderhome tradee and work on getting a WS to help

X-Force Weapon Builder
Click on that link and pick tangle or launcher pistol, advanced projectile feed mech (no barrel for tangle) then click "enhance" to add the stats for your gorax to compare them
