Hey there, ive been testing out scopes. I can get regular scope speed down to something like 0.0077... and advanced ones down to 0.033...
Now i know that that scoped enhance the accuracy bonus, and give some wound bonus also.....but seeing as we can cap wound fairly easily i think that the wound bonus is useless.
So..i think that forgoing scopes in weapons will raise the dps, as all of my barrels, and BPS's, and feed mechs all reduce speed with a negative speed attribute.
So im asking if you fellow WS think that not using scopes in your weapons will raise the DPS, although the accuracy will take a hit, but compantants usually have enough accuracy mods to cover this....
what do you think?

Keep in mine decimals are off by a whole place in subcomponents
so .0077 is really .00077, and .033 is really .0033, so if there is any speed increase it will be very very small and I think people will want higher accuracy even though the gun might be .0033 slower

Oh, I didn't know about that decimal error on components.
This puts things in a different light...
Remember that these days the final damage a fighter does is not just dependant on the Damage and Speed of the weapon, but also has a multiplier based on how accurate the fighter is. I think this number is affected by the accuracy of the weapon as well...
...meaning a fighter using a rifle with better Accuracy will at times do more damage than if he is using an idendical rifle with worse accuracy.

I personally use pre-cu scopes, +8 accuracy no speed penalty, whats the accuracy on your post-cu scopes?

with .03$#^&%* speed and a amazing on the accuracy. I have gotten as high as 11 on accuracy.

My post CU advanced scopes are essentially zero speed (like .003 or something like that), with +10 accuracy. I use them in every weapon that will take them.

I did an advanced scope with something like +19 with 1.xxx speed (cant remember the other decimals)
I personally wont do a post-CU scope until every last run of my old ones is gone. Sad to say but SOE just made an even bigger 'pre-nerf' marked with this CU.
