I was crafting some ranged weapon powerups, and I noticed in the description that it states "when an item is equipped with a powerup it has a chance to decay every time a shot is fired," or something to that effect.
I've noticed that my Krayted ALR is receiving damage to its condition, but it is not puped. However, because it is enhanced to have the yellow colorization (similar to when a weapon is equipped with a powerup,) I am thinking if the weapon is decreasing in condition because it has a Krayt tissue component. It is also sliced, but I am not sure if that also has something to do with the rate of weapon decay.
Does anyone know whether or not Krayt tissues cause the same rate of decay as a weapon powerup?

By my understanding, weapon decay is determined by the armount of damage it does. So a weapon that does more damage, in theory, decays faster than a weapon that does less damage.

But does the increase in damage from, say, the appropriate weapon powerup to do so, increase the rate of damage done to the weapon itself, or does an increase by an optional component or pup cause the weapon to decay?

PuP'd weapons have always decayed faster. it is one of the tradeoffs for putting the PuP on it.

no matter what, a weapon always decays. Everytime you attack with a weapon, no matter if it's pup'd, sliced, enhanced, whatever, it has a chance to take decay. Some variables add more to decay, but weapons always have in the past and now in the present, decayed. Actually I've noticed that weapon decay is much lower now in the CU. It may just have to do with having to do less attacks though.

I remember my exceptional t21 the first time I used it. Dropped a 33max16min powerup on it and spammed Strafe2.. Lost about 1-2 condition per shot.
