Thread: Summerflame: Is the Weapon Exploit being looked at? IT not, why?
There is plenty of information on this floating around so one more public post will not matter now. I've seen the screen shots, and had people personally tell me they have used this. They brag about it because they know the CSRs cannot check everyone.
What is the exploit you might ask?

You might ask who would want to do such a thing and waste money like that.
THe lowlife cheaters that lurk on each server. Honestly, i think every server transfer in the last 3 months should be scrutinized. IF there is any record or anomoly that provides evidence that a person performed this exploit, then they should be permanently banned from SWG.
Why would Weaponsmiths care about this?
Well If effects you guys becase you have the equivalent of legendary weapons being used by these supposedly elite players. It weakens the WS position in the weapons market in the long run. Flurry is full of them right now and i Have no respect for any of them or their guilds.

I do know that the Dev's are working on some script that will verify the damage, speed, accuracy etc on weapons and adjust them according to the caps for that particular weapon.
Even without this exploit there are a fair few weapons that converted outside of caps from the CU because of Powerups being left in them.

I have brough thte issue to the attention of the devs and they are looking into it.
If you hear anyone braggin about this or see anyone with a weapon like this, make a ticket and write what you know the more cases the devs gets on this the easier it will be for them to dig into it and fix it.
If I could ask you to edit your post so we dont get the knowledge of how to exploit spread even more

A screenshot of someones hammer was on flurry forums. No one could understand why the weapn was so good and why the name of the crafter was missing. Because the name of the crafter was missing everyone knew it ws transfered over in a server transfer.
The person admitted to transfering the weapon but claimed it was not puped when transfered and gave out the name of the crafter of the weapon.
Then someone who had a near identicle weapon posted the screenshot of his weapon with the crafters name still on it. Because the crafters name was still on the weapoon we know it wasn't transfered. This meant that most likely the first weapon was not transfered at all.
