Do scopes (the ones you put on when you make the weapon) have any stats or add anything to the weapon?

Weapon Scopes improve a gun's wound chance and ideal range accuracy at the cost of increased HAM. A Master using good materials can experiment the HAM increase down to 0, but there's a bug that causes most of these 0/0/0 scopes to add 1/1/1 to the HAM costs.

That's assuming the Weaponsmith gets all great successes - if he gets a moderate success, the resulting scope could add *much* more HAM that what is reported in the scope's stat window. When I was an Expert smith I once got a supposedly 3/3/3 scope that actually added 4/10/3 to the gun I used it on - and it was a carbine to boot. D'oh! Even with all great successes, my 3/3/3 scopes often added 3/5/3 or 3/4/4. I also have some Advanced Sword Cores that claim they add 7/7/7 to HAM but actually add 7/8/7. I'm pretty sure this bug can happen to any subcomponent that increases HAM costs.

I use a normal scope on every weapon I make that takes one.

They are 1/1/1 HAM, +12 at ideal range, +2 wound chance.

I always scope also. I think 1/1/1 HAM cost isworth the added "To-Hit" range bonus and wound.

Although I would like to know how I can increase the range of the other modifiers.. i.e: Zero Range and Max Range . It seems everything adds to the Ideal.
