Lol i dunno how ur gunna beat some of those weaponsmiths they are pretty good!!!
You gotta be the nicest person I've ever seen here. Wow. Another player like me. Thank you so much, even though I deleted the character who needed the pistol, I really really truly appreciate the offer. I'm going to remake my character there yet again, because I don't really care much for angry characters. I was being rather immature, but I really have no idea why people don't help one another in this game. Honestly, the only people I see helping each other are either RL friends, or guildmates. I've been a Reb, and had other Rebs treat me like crap. Same with a character I have who's an Imp.
It's terrible how this game evolved into a "my gun is bigger than your gun" environment. It seems as though everyone is out to max out their characters, and no one is just exploring anymore. I gotta tell ya, that kinda disappoints me.
Alot of people are unfriendly, and uncaring, and it's unfortunate that it has to be that way. I was simply hoping to change the environment a little more in the Newbie's favor, and apparently that generated alot of hate and anger. It seems as though most(obviously not all) high end characters only care about themselves. Alot of Elite Profession masters forgot what it was like when you just start out. And it's too bad.
I wish more people thought as you do. Then all of us, Noobs included, could have a really fun and enjoyable experience in this world that SOE has designed.
Good luck out there, and I wish you well.
Orion, you seem to have calmed down a bit, and I think you'll find people a tad more responsive because of it.
Understand what produced all the flames you got was not your plan, it was your attitude. Most master craftsmen, irregardless of type, deal with people every day who feel like they are entitled to something... like we worked our way to the pinnacle of our professions out of the kindness of our hearts so we could spread love and flowers and free guns to everyone.
This just isn't the case. I've given out more than my share of advice, help, and free weapons to newbies who ask nicely and are respectful. The ones who see the master WS title and start demanding things are the ones who are just /addignore-d. I don't have the time nor the inclination to deal with people who want to treat me like a McDonald's cashier who exists to fill their every whim. I am not an NPC vendor. The tone of your original post was very similar to this, and most master craftsmen tired of dealing with folks like this long ago. We tolerate them even less so when they come into what we consider OUR forum and tell us how to run our businesses.
I think you'll find that people help each other out a lot in-game, but such help should be offered freely, not demanded by another.
I wish you luck with your new character.
"p.s. i put an artisan on another server. one of the people who flamed me said something about the enjoyment of making custom orders and so on. So, if i'm gonna make weapons, I might as well enjoy it instead of doing it out of spite. whoever suggested that, thanks!"
Very good advice in deed. I am a master weaponsmith with no desire to sit on a big pile of credits. I like to make stuff, so I chose a crafting profession.
I like to see people happy, so I sell very good weapons all atunder4k for anything certed on the markmen page. There's nothing better than seeing how happy people get when they find my shop and realize I'm not just another greedy SOB weaponsmith like the rest.
It makes me laugh when I see things like Scouts and FWG5s selling for 10-20k. And it makes me shake my head in disapointment when I see comments in this forum from smiths refering to how much money people have. Pricing should be based on what it costs to make it, not how much you can get them to pay.
That attitude is just so lame.
wow. i just realized my thread was closed due to flaming. i didn't know the devs/csr's/pr's did that. i guess you learn something new every day.
anyway, sir.
I'm actually one of the poor poor people who bought this to play a Jedi. I'm thinking I better pick up some combat skills to get one of those Holocron thingys that everyone's talking about.
I want a jedi soooo bad.
But that kinda talk belongs on another Forum. I guess I better buy some of your weapons. See ya soon with a purchasing order. I finally learned that the mission terminals are the only way to go in this game. So, I better make some money.
See ya soon.

p.s. i put an artisan on another server. one of the people who flamed me said something about the enjoyment of making custom orders and so on. So, if i'm gonna make weapons, I might as well enjoy it instead of doing it out of spite. whoever suggested that, thanks!

thanks again, guys. that weaponsmithing is pretty tough. but i'm sticking with it. it's pretty fun too, when i'm not playing all irritated from other things.
mr. rhino-panties or whatever.
you lose the credit pool. i didn't give up.
to everyone who dealt with my obnoxious, cranky, whiney statements, and didn't flame me but helped to calm me down....
my thanks and eternal gratitude.
to everyone who flamed me cuz they think they're better than i am....
go (edit) yourself. hard. with a big rubber (edit). all night long. then share some of that (edit) with your (edit) pathetic (edit) of a girlfriend. cuz i know she's (edit) dying for a (edit) (edit) of my (edit) and (edit). cuz she's an (edit) (edit) for two dollars.
whew. i'm glad i got that out. thanks again everyone.![]()
oh... and i have no new character. same one. still going up the weaponsmith tree. only very very very slowly. just taking my time with it. it's not going anywhere.

so, i check back here, and my post is the last post. and i realized, as soon as a couple decent weaponsmiths post on this topic and are pretty nice to me, or agree with me, the flames die down.
very nice indeed.
I guess, in some ways, weaponsmiths can be more intimidating than bounty hunters.
