Thread: have some weapons hit their optimal stats?
thanks.
I think what you are seeing is the effect of time on the game.
In the first month when a new metal spawned it was one of only 2 or 3 spawns of that metal EVER and so with each new spawns chances of a metal vastly improving a gun's stats were pretty good.
Now 5 months later, when a new metal spawns it is going up against anywhere from 10-50 previous spawns and in all likelihood is not the best of it's kind and therefore will not add any more damage to what has already been out there.
The only way to increase the gun's damage/speed is better material and as we have a bigger sample size, the chance of a material getting better becomes smaller each day.
So, to make a long answer short.... Yes, we are probably starting to hit the theoretical Max on a lot of weapons. On Naritus for instance when making Melee weapons I use a Duralloy Steel that has 984 Shock Resistance (which is the main stat for Melee Weapons final combine). Chances of me getting a hold of something better than that in the future are very slim and even if I do, the improvement in the weapon will be minimal at best because I only have 16 points left before it's as good as it will ever get for that category.
Hope that helps.
