Thread: New Feed Mechanism and the Devs that misrepresent them
Ok we are all familiar with the patch note quote that implied post-patch feed mechanisms double...
"Fixed a problem with the crafting experimentation ranges on the projectile feed mechanisms being reduced in half."
Well my advanced ones came out with exactly the same max damage and same speed but we know the UT stats of both axidite iron and quadranium steel are less than perfect. And one could argue that with the new 'experimentation fix' that since the resources are less than perfect Im going to spend all my points and get smaller gains. So I took my experimenting to the non-advanced feed mechanism. On my galaxy we had a duralloy steel spawn on week 4 who's unit toughness was 999. Clearly with perfect UT we should bypass any arguement about quality of resource altering gains. Prepatch ones were comming out 19 max damage and -0.47 speed experimenting around 50% or so due to the bug. Iused them when making rocket launchers for the extra speed. Making one post patch gives the following results:
min 9 max 19 speed -0.49 and thats experimenting up to 98% .. this is obviously not 40% better.
The only way I can interpret their message and it not be completely bogus is if they experimented the feed mechanism 1 point at a time pre-patch and then post-patch. All of us already knew to speed all points possible on the first experimentation. This still doesnt explain why I have the exact same stats at 98% as I did before at 60%.
