Do you sell Launchers individually, or in crates since the are expendable?

What is a fair price for these?

Thanks!

Someone on Lowca sold them for 55k each or 350k for a crate of 7.

Apparently they don't sell very well because she still had some left after two weeks, and there were only like three MWS on the server selling rocket launchers.

I have commandos in my guild that call them candy and constantly bug me about when will I have some (answer: when I have the stuff I need to make them).

Then again I've also met commandos that swear by grenades and order them by the crate load.

I think the best thing is to just know your target market. If you're in a commando-heavy area (more and more players seem to be going commando lately, I smell a nerf coming....) then you should probably keep a few of these handy. I know I will be when I have the resources. They're not a bread and butter item though - I sell probably 3 or 4 heavy weapons of any given type during a week. I sell quite a few more DH17 carbines, Scout Blasters, Vibro Knucklers, and so on in the same period of time.

My normal policy is to keep 2-3 of anything I can make that someone might consider buying on my vendor at all times as a minimum. Heck, I even keep some things on there just because people like to buy them to decorate their houses with....

Doh, forgot to mention price. If I could make the grenades to make the rocket launcher, I'd probably go with the crowd and charge 25k....

I tend to do other heavies at 15k, including flamers and LLCs, but the RLs are in higher demand and much harder to make.

I have roughly the same prices as you and I move them PLENTY. I never have enough in stock actually.

I try to keep a few in stock all the time. I charge 50k for mine (Kettemoor) and always have a steady stream of commandos snatching them up. These are a serious pain to make, so my advice is to price them where you feel like it is worth your time to produce them.

Hiya

Most people on Ahazi (who have met me) know me as the commando half of Az' & Soar's Weapon Shop. I make all the munitions and heavies for our stock.

People charge between 25 and 180k for rocket launchers on our server. Our store charges **edited**k for some very good quality launchers. We sell on average two a day off the vendors.
The extreme price range is basically due to people not knowing much about them. To start with you should look at what goes into them :

1500+ resources (not including experimentation/schematic)
40 individual builds (you can expect to go through at least 200 experimentation tries to get a good final weapon schematic)
16 seperate resource types (mine end up using about 20 well-researched resources)
End to end factory time of over 2 hours per weapon.

So you can see why these are not commonly stocked on the average weaponsmiths vendor. If we didn't have two smiths working the one inventory, we wouldn't have them either . The whole munitions thing really is the poor end of the weaponsmiths inventory. Firearms and melee will net you between 30 and 100 credits per resource. Munitions will only get you 10 to 20 credits per resource, anymore than that and I start getting complaints. The simple reason for this is munitions have limited charges, guns and knives do not.
Selling these for less than 25k wouldn't really be worth it unless you were just out to make lots of friends. However you also have to consider that the customer doesn't know much about them and wont understand if you ask for 100k+
Like all weapons take the time to research the market on your server. You may find the market price so low that the smart thing to do would be to not even bother.
