It is always possible to be a weaponsmith. It all depends on how committed you are. Getting a shop set up takes time and patience. The best advice I can offer is to provide the absolute best customer service you possibly can. Once your customers see how committed you are to them, they will reward you with return orders and referrals. Don't underestimate the power of the MWS title, wear it proudly and don't shrug off noobie questions.

If you're seriously considering it for some time in the future, then now is the time to start collecting resources. Get a copy of Fooman 6.0 (from the downloads page at SWGCraft.com) or Fooman Jenner 1.63 (from a stickied thread in the SWGCraft.com Weaponsmith forum) to help you keep track of what you'll need.

If you decide after a while that you don't want to go WS after all, you'll probably have a decent stash of WS resources that you could either sell immediately, or (esp if you come across something really good) hand onto for a couple of months and then sell at an absolute premium.

If you decide to go WS straight away and don't already have a great big stash of resources, though, be warned... you'll really struggle with this - ultimately, you won't be able to compete with MWSs even if you grind straight up to Master yourself and immediately buy SEAs for the extra 2 experimentation points. Resources are just critical in this game.

not a flame just an opinion

I've found l337 speak doesn't go down very well with players, it certainly puts me off and although I never use anyhow even if I did I'd definately never use it when talking to customers.

Find a premium site for your shop, somewhere close to Theed or Coronet for preference, also have an outlet vendor in your player city for your friends to use and it's also a handy place for people to offer things to you that you may have bought/won on auction etc.

Make sure that your crafting tools and stationare of the highest quality (my tools are plus 15's and my station is plus 44.94), get in touch with a good chef for Pyollian Cake and Bespin Port and also have your crafting station in a Player City that is a Research Centre.

If you were planning on making a new toon to do WS then make him a Mon Calamari for the crafting bonuses.
