Thread: An embarassing oops that will haunt me for a while
Just had to share this... I made 20 krayt FWs the other day and mispelled Krayt by adding an 'E' at he end (krayte). I have no excuse for this mistake other than it was way past my bedtime. I only typed the name of the first FW, I then cut and pasted the name 'Scoped Krayte FWG5' onto the remaining FWs resulting in 20 items with my name on the object creator line that have krayt mispelled in the title.
Just thought sharing might make me feel less like a moron, but it doesn't seem to be helping ![]()
Everybody does something dumb once in a while. Be glad yours was just a typo...
last time I screwed up a good friend gave me a very nice tissue and asked for a scatter, I wasn't paying attention and made an FWG5 instead.
I am a terrible speeler. .. (uh Speller).. and for that reason alone... I don't change the name of the guns on assembly except to add... "by Eliss" to the end of the name. All Krayt, feeder, misc enhancements I add a (k) to denote krayt Enhanced or (k/v) for Krayt Enhanced with a High Velocity Feeder. It keeps things simple and makes it a heck of a lot easier for me.
Right now I am making FWG5's with power handlers and naming them "FWG5 Pistol by Eliss (w/ Power Handler)" So after the Nerf (if it comes) I'll be able to tell the difference between the two and be able to adjust prices accordingly.
"nothing beats making gun after gun after gun until you get the best schematic you can, then making a prototype instead :S"
Oh if i only had a cr for every time i did that![]()
How do i use the boards quote function?
