I have a new character that is a wookie and I'm mapping out his future skills and I need to know the skill level I need to have to make a bowcaster so I can stop there. Can anyone help me out?

You need to be a Wookie to craft Bowcasters I think.

Only Wookies can make bowcasters I think.

Ops... first I thought it timed out, so I typed another reply. But I see you asked about level and not race.. sorry for that.

The level... not sure but I think its the first or second box of the firearms crafting branch.

You can make bowcasters the day you log in.
THe problems are:
A) You need some components that you first can craft with Novice Weaponsmith(Projectile Feeds and Powerhandler) and with Firearms I (Blaster Rifle Barrels). These you can get from another weaponcrafter, so you don't necessarily need to be Weaponsmith
But B) Your Bowcasters will be CRAP Only really usefull for show.
Experimentation on Bowcasters is based on weapon experimentation and therefore to build good bowcasters you need at least Weapon Crafting Techniques IV or even better Master Weaponsmith. So happy grinding
