Thread: How to price my weapons
Can you put a Scope on a DL44 XT?
Im not sure if you can or not, but if you can, it would have been smart too. If you cant, its pretty good. Only reason I ask about a scope, is if you put a pup on it you will loose accuracy and scopes make up for some of the accuracy. In my limited experience as a weaponsmith, its best to put a scope and stock on whatever you can. I make scopes that add 9 accuracy and the speed cost is only .181 which you can more then make up for with a speed pup.
Otherwise nice gun. 2mil is a minimum price on Bria. Probaly somewhere from 3-5. Depending on who buys etc etc.
Since prices vary so often server to server your best bet is to put either a "price check" (these are sometimes annoying to some people) or just auction it and make the min bid the least amount you'd part with it for.
Let's see. First from a fellow WS, I'd say that's a nice weapon and that you definitely can get 2 mil, maybe more if you put it up for auction. Auctions tend to be more successful than putting a set price and putting it on your vendor. People will drive the price up simply for the competition of getting the gun. The reason I say use a auction though is I'm guessing your on ahazi server since you mentioned it and there are so many vendors and items for sale that unless you advertise (via starport spam) or got a reputation on the server, items on vendors don't get much attention. Server wide vendor searchs takes around 2 hours just to get through one specific weapon, let alone each different pistol/weapon.
So for easier sells, auctions are best since most people with the millions go there anyway instead of wasting time in game searching for vendors...besides they are too busy making their millions...LOL.
Now from a pistoleers point of view, the SAC on the weapon is undesirable. Although a SAC powerup could drop that down to 65 easy, it will screw you on accuracy unless you can find a 14 point artisan who can make powerups with almost not negative effects. The other thing about this pistol is that although it has nice stats, the range on it is extremely limited and a nice ALR or various carbines are a lot better on damage and range. As a pistoleer, I'd go get a ALR with 1100 max damage and 65 meter range and has a accuracy bonus (I know because i make them myself). So from this point of view, 2 million is not something I'd spend on any pistol. They have lower damage caps than rifles and carbs and range really really sucks.
Even with that though, there's someone out there that will probably give you 5 million for it, just don't expect a line of people rushing to buy it though.
Also, like others said already.....always put a scope on your weapons. the speed they add is no big deal with slicing, powerups, 2 different types of speed SEA's along with doc speed buffs. Oh and also speed stimulants. So you can get speed anywhere.
welp i got my 2mil for it
YaaaY!
Any advice on how to make a decent ALR? Cuz for some reason i think using tissue to make a good ALR would not let u break even. I may be wrong though..

It's getting that way on Infinity. I have a load of ALRs made with tissues between 100-120 dmg priced between 200k-350k (max dmg between 1080-1100, SAC 84 / 85). They're goodrifles, I have been WS over a year so I know my way around weps, but it seems to be getting to the stage that only the very best is good enough.
I've seen today tissues on vendors with max dmg 115 for 1.2 mil. Another set 131 max dmg for 6 mil (admittedly this set was on sale by someone well known for unreasonable pricing). I bought a set of tissues the other day for 600k, crafted a rifle and put it on vendor for 750k. The very same person who sold me the tissues then informed me that in his opinion the rifle was over-priced. Another example was someone selling tissues max dmg about 130 with a BO of 2 mil, then posted another thread asking for an ALR with high dmg, Low SAC for a reasonable price. Huh?? How does that work then??
I crafted an E11 Mk2 tonight, came out 1047 max, SAC 75, speed 2.36. The player said he was going to speed slice it to hell so we discussed components and decided a couple of pre-CU components would be used (barrel and scope). The tissues were 165 max dmg. After crafting I got a 'hmmmm this should have been better according to my friend'.
Luckily I have some good ingame friends who sell me tissues at a reasonable price. They get good weps for free off me when they need them, and I am able to sell at reasonable prices, but things seem very kooky at the moment.
/rantoff It's been one of those days.
