Thread: what WS resource should i use my 30k resource vet reward on? plz

Okay im having a hard time getting started with my resources for my 12 pt WS. which resources are just so scarce I should use my resource vet reward on? thanks

Use it on whatever is rare or difficult to get in good quality on your server. If you have a specific style of weapon you like to craft then use it to help get the best possible resoruces for that weapon.

I dont know what the going rate for the crates are on your server, but on eclipse they are easy 2 mil, and then you are basically saying whatever resources u get, you are paying 66 cpu for. To my knowledge not any weaponsmith resources out there that go that high.... I would sell it for the 2 mil, and lot hard, contact resource farmers to find what ever u are looking for in terms of resources. Probably get much more bang for your buck that way. The reason they go that high is because of they can be used for any resource (ie milk, eggs, meats) which are much harder to get so 30k of those things is a ton. Just a thought, but completely up to you and your server pricing.

For us on Bria it'd be Ostrine Carbonate ore. However you'll want to use it on any resource that hasn't spawned with good quality recently. Check swgcraft.com and see what you need.

As a fellow WS on Intrepid - I would have to agree on the Irolunn Gas, that stuff is pretty much impossible to find on our server at the moment unless you get lucky when another WS quits.
I have spent hours trawling through Vendor search looking for it and couldn't find any.
Sinces its the required ingredient for most Ranged weapons, your gonna be screwed if you don't have any.

I've got a little over 110K of the 992 OQ gas on Intrepid that I use... I don't use a whole bunch as I only make enhanced weapons -- I still have a large large factory run of ABPHs pre-cu in crates. If you need a small stack of gas I could give you the hook up.

Irolunn gas i'm not too sure about. You get less than two full factory runs of ABPHs out of 30k, plus it's used in a schem with four other materials.
If I were you i'd wait a few weeks until you've had a chance to harvest a few more resources, if you're quite a new WS chances are alot of your resources won't be the best so using a 30k deed won't make any difference anyway.

basically anything that hasn't had a decent spawn in 11+ months. By mid 2004, Osterine hadn't spawned on Naritus since June/July 2003, since then it has spawned 1 in 3 resource cycles. Irolunn gas on the other hand had a 951 OQ spawn in Octomber 2003 that has yet to be surpassed, of all the handler resources, it is by far the rarest at this point (on Naritus). Honestly, I'd say hold the deeds until you run low on something. My amount on everything should last me until I quit the game, or 2007, whichever comes first.

Yeah I don't know if any resources are worth 66+ CPU or whatever it works out to. I would rather have the 2-4 Mil you can sell those for as they aren't really worth that.
Note though I also sold my ADK for 7.5 Mil as I can make / buy lots of Good (maybe not great) Weapons for 7.5 Mil. I really didn't think it was worth the cost. Especially since my combat alt is going be a jedi soon wouldn't need that his scatter any more. Though I guess if I had a real uber scatter, I might add an ADK to it.
I know I been playing around with some Krayt tissues being a newer inexperienced MWS and have already made enough weapons that cost more to make than I can sell them for.
