In general is it better to use advanced components with mediocre resources (quality-wise) or regular components with 900+ quality components?

just look at the numbers of the components when you craft them. if you get better numbers form a reg component them by all means use it.

The 2 components where you're probably better off using regular ones are blaster rifle barrels and weapons scopes. I use advanced versions of both only in certain weapons.
