I just got weaponsmith for my holocron. I would be willing to do it the normal way, like i did for architect...making my PA a PA city and actually accomplishing something..but after 2 weeks of architect crafting im just sick of it! I dont want to craft anymore im a born warrior! LoL jk - anyway , to the point of this thread - what is the best thing to grind out to get master weaponsmith? Complexity and Resources needed (especially resources needed) are the key factors to experiance gained. So, the question i ask, what is the best thing to grind to get to master weaponsmith ASAP - and what should i grind to get up to that level at which i can make whatever component it is for part a.

Greatly appreciated!

Most people do rifle barrels. You can also do metal staves since they were added last patch. These are the easiest since all they take is metal. With a good crafting macro all you have to do is dbl click until your wrist can't take it anymore!

the advanced fastest way is to stock up on crap steel (about 200k-250k to allow for fails). then get 100k radioactive, 100k skevon reactive, 75k thoranium steel, and 50k Hydron-3 inert gas.

grind to munitions 2.

make heavy warheads (750xp each on practice).

start that good macro (easiest with 9 or 10 tools).

give yourself 8 seconds to click all the resource with a 2 second pause before the next tool starts.

if anyone knows the schematic number for heavy warheads, i lost it. post it here for ease if you would be so kind = )

you don't get WS XP from tossing a barrel or something intoa factory? I know you get like 10% only, but heck that beats manual process. toss in enough resources to it, wack out 10,000 CDEF weapons should get you the XP?

You used to get 10%, now you get nothing for using factories. And CDEF weapons give general xp not weapon xp

Oh....broken or nerf on the "nothing" part on the factories? That sucks!

How much xp does heavy axes give? If I have the resources would it be better if i grinded heavy axes than pistol and rifle barrels?

I did like Mor-Dan and grinded the heavy warheads using practice mode once I hit Munitions 3. Finished my last 5 skillboxes in about 4 hours. Of course, I lost time going to get trained in bestine because nobody in Anchorhead could train WS skills.

For the heavy warheads the Thoranium steel was easy to acquire, as I had ten medium and 6 heavy harvesters pulling it over about a week. The skevon reactive gas was a bit of a difficulty, but just haunting the bazaar daily made a difference on the price I paid. Some vendors I paid 4-6 cr/unit, some 2.5-3.5 cr/unit. The radioactive came from my own power stores, as I had2 BER 16 and 2 BER 13 fusions running. The Hydron-3 was the most difficult to find , as i finally found some resellers with it about 2 weeks after acquiring the other resources.

If you are just grinding to master the skill for the badge, this is one way to do it, with fewer combines. It will cost less money in the long run to simply grind out simple items requiring only one or two resources like sword cores, metal staves or projectile rifle barrels. Personally,I don't want carpal tunnel syndrome, soI spent the creds to do the warheads......

Now I have to acquire the materials to make decent weapons for a profit....
