Hi!
I'm new to WS porfession and maybe this can be answered here:
Im crafting scout blasters with adv scope, power handler and barrel...they always come out great success.
I put these things in the blaster and i start experimenting on damage using 2 or 3 points ata time...every time i do this i get a moderate success on every 2nd or 3rd roll...can someone tell me why?
btw im mon cal, using a 44.5 crafting station and 15 tool

It's part and parcel of being a weaponsmith. Get used to it. Our profession is plagued with moderate successes like no other. I sometimes get three or four moderates in a row and it really p!sses me off, especially when custom creating.
I feel like a let down to the customer when they're nice shiny new, very expensive, looted component enhanced, server best resources, goes t!ts up because of the damn "we don't like weapon smiths" dice

The only thing that can increase your chances is Force Sensitive Technique (1 - 4) and Bespin Port. +Assembly tapes are only for initial combination, +Experimentation tapes are only for increasing the number of points you're allowed to use during the experimentation process.
You'll notice that if you use better resources you'll get less moderates, and even more amazings, so chances are you're using good resources on your blasters and worse ones on whatever you're drawing the moderates on.

The player city I live in is a research center. I hardly get moderates and when crafting loot stuff, etc I always use Py cake and bespin.

I usually just throw my scrap base tissues in friends/guildies weapons for free... it goes nicely in a enhanced E11, so yeah... I make a few of those

I have the same as you, except +20 in assembly, and I get moderates during experimentation all the time. And I always use food. Research centers apply ASSEMBLY bonus, not experimentation, so that has nothing to do with moderates during that part of the crafting.

I've found that once I get a moderate during experimentation that I have to change the number of points to experiment with, otherwise I'm likely to get another moderate.

manufacturing centers give an assembly bonus, research centers give an experimentation bonus

I have always wondered why it is a "moderate success" and not a "moderate failure". There isn't anything successful about it as it always ruins the item being experimented on.
When FS crafting started, the non FS crafters got nerfed with a plague of moderates. This was mitigated somewhat on subsequent patches and publishes, but being a Master Weaponsmith simply doesn't mean as much as it used to.
