Ours is not as relevant and up to date as I would like. I am not overly concerned with this, though, since a lot will change for us with the Combat Upgrade (along with everyone else).
Still, if people are dying to contribute to something...
For many months now I've been attempting to finish compiling what I've dubbed the Weaponsmith Bible. It is a collection of the voluminous amounts of information out there regarding our profession, laced with helpful info for both veterans and newbies alike. I am, sadly, still a long way from being done. If someone wanted to write some new guides on the following topics, I wouldn't stop them:
- An updated grind guide (different grinding methods: heavy warheads, projectile rifle barrels, etc.)
- An experimentation guide (how best to experiment, how to obtain additional points, what those extra points mean, etc.)
- Tips on running a WS business (what to sell, advice on determining pricing, marketing tips and tricks, perhaps a brief explanation of what "free-market economy" means)
- A short guide to the basics of the profession (prerequisites, a look at the skill trees, tips on complimentary skills, a discussion of crafting tools and stations, factory usage tips, storage tips, droid usage, etc.)
I would happily link those sorts of things into our "useful links" thread, as well as including them in the Bible (with credit to the original author).
I think it's time I enlisted some help from you guys on my project, I'll try and get up a sample of what I'm doing later today. We can turn it into a community-building exercise. (Man, do I sound corporate or what?)
