Some 997 green diamond gemstone just shifted in on my server and I'm trying to get an idea of how much of this stuff I should stock up on. For a rough estimate, how long would a supply of 100k last? Thanks for you help

I use scopes in every weapon that will take them. As for how long 100K would last, I guess it depends on how many weapons you sell. I don't have a big volume in guns, so 100K would probably last me forever. Hope this helps.

/Agreed

But personally I only make and use Advanced Scopes (experimented for accuracy) for Rocket Launchers.

Yea I'm nutty enough to make them, and besides my alt is a master commando.

Yes, get as much of it as you can. Even though I seldom use scopes unless a buyer requests one, I'd be insane to not get a crapload of that stuff.

Always use scopes. I make:

+43 IR 17 ham (advanced)

+27 IR 5/6/5 ham (adfanced)

+14 0 ham (regular scopes)

If you are building custom weapons it's nice to be able to let the customer choose. With buffs the way they are now, I usually use the +43 scopes for vendor stock, but I expect that will change with the revamp as players will probably need to way to reduce their ham costs.

I use scopes in everything

+12/0 ham in general but for custom orders I have +42, 15/15/14 HAM (amazing success) scopes.

I used to scope near everything but there are some downsides.

Most player classes already have insane accuracy bonuses. Ergo your not really doing anything for them by putting on a ham eating scope.

Many moves stick reguardless of accuracy anyway. A sprayshot will never miss.

Wound chance bonus is questionable at best. Sure you will hit more often for wound damage, but its rarely of any relevant value. Since the wound covers all the bars. In other words a leg shot will not be relegated to an action or stamina or quickness wound it gets spaced across the board. For 1 point of wound. This is worthless against creatures and not even a bother for players seeing as dots and multipliers by far cover this up.

Other issues are that its more important that a gun get a good slice. So if you are a slice happy maniac your basically makeing your guns more expensive to make.

In a nutshell. Most players do not care or even focus on the accuracy or wound chance on a weapon. While they will notice added hamcost. Most players are right not to pay attention. Unless you are a novice marksman it dosent matter since character bonuses cleary overshadow them. Be it a players accuracy mods, or a players dot tossing moves. That being the case players want to spray as much as possible and even paying a handful of points in ham is not worth it.

I learned after alot of trial and error players just do not care, and they are right the scope bonuses are pathetic. If only wound chances, and wounding had more sting. If scopes could improve other ranges other then ideal. If players did not already have highly accurate moves and guaranteed sticks. Then players might focus on accuracy more. Sadly the bonus scopes grant are far too marginal.

My advice is 100k should last you a good long time. Apply scopes when they are requested. Apply scopes that are modest ham of krayted weaponry and so forth anything else is just a waste of time.

Accccctually, no professions get bonuses to accuracy while moving. This means that +40 ideal offers a huge help to landing those shots while strafing or running away from a mob. I dont see too many stationary pistoleers firing on Kimos and Krayts these days.

I still do not see how a bonus to hit while running is really helping you out. How easy is it to stay in ideal range if your running around like a lunatic. Not that I will not run around when I get in trouble, but I have come to the conslusion if I want the highest accuracy I am going to have to plant myself in one spot. If I am tearing all over the place I am only going to decrease my accuracy. The truth is it dosent matter. Especially when its far more important to have more specials then anything else. Multipliers increase the damage by 5 or 6 times the normal damage. If I were ham depleted alot maybe the argument would fly for me, but if I am ham depleted alot I would have to come to the conclusion that perhaps maybe just maybe I am doing something wrong.
