Thread: Nyms Loot: Is it worth it?

Ok, I've gotten a huge stash of this stuff, and since I was going to grind weaponsmith anyway, I was curious, would it be worth it for a 10 point WS to use it? What I mean is, can I max out damage with only 10 points, and if I did, wouldn't the condition be really low?

If you mean Nym's motors, then yeah it's worth it, assuming you have the right resources. Only put these in advanced vibromotors otherwise it's a waste. I'd make a test VK without a motor enhancement, and if it's over 2.4 speed and under 140 damage, then sell these motors off, because the mods just wont be worth the price.

Typically the difference between a 10 pt and 12 pt smith is condition and/or HAM cost - speed and damage should turn out comparable if not identical. For example, the typical VK on Ahazi will come out with a max dmg of 147ish, 2.2 speed. Any VKs I craft (i'm a 10 pt) come out at 970 condition. A WS neighbor crafting VKs (a 12 pt) has the same damage and speed, but with a condition of 1100-ish.
Even though the condition of your VK may be somewhat less than an 11 or 12 pt WS can craft, my experience is it has little impact on peoples' desire to buy them, so I would say yes, they are worth your time. I am only able to speak for their worth on Ahazi, but an enhanced VK with an exceptional damage slice makes that VK extremely valuable.
My lone suggestion is try to get your resources the best they can be, so as to put yourself on more equal footing with the other 11 and 12 pt smiths on your server.

The difference in using a +20 to damage vibro motor depending on the slice can mean a sale price of 30k or 2 mil...I hunt often for motors and prolly make 20 per week getting at least 8-10 good damage slices. My 224's sell for between 1.8 and 2mil all the time. Although i see that curtailing as time goes on as people anti-decay theirs. But for now still a big seller.

Whats worth it :
for me at least (12 pt WS -'Joker'- / Lokian forover ayear )High Powered Vibro Motors +20 and higher
High Powered Energy Capacitors +25 and higher
High Velocity Feed Mechanism +28 and higher
all other nyms weapons loots are not worth it IMO
...tho i use lower High Powered Energy Capacitors sometimes cos it just seems 5 +20 drop more often than 4 +28 
If your after lots of vibro motors:
Get a good solo-group and do "a Large Nym Base Missions" of +200 mission difficultie. (19k missions)
Pick 2 missions in the same direction and same distance.
Kill the NPCs dont attack the base go to the other mission and kill the npcs there...
You can kill the NPCs up to 3 times before the mission is set incomplete.
I usually get like 25 with each buff ...plus tons of useless other loots of course. : ) have fun

Absolutely.
I've made several different types of Nyms enhanced guns. Within a day to two they all sell, I can't keep them is stock and I can't get the parts
fast enough to keep up.

Where are the "large Nym Base" missions located? On lok from any mission terminal?
