I have a question......

I wonder if non-wookiee weaponsmiths will be able to produce the new series of Bowcasters? If we can create Genosan weapons, Massai Weapons, etc....why can't we learn how to make the bowcaster? They are just a variation of the laser rifle anyway.

I doubt it would happen, from what Ive read crafting a bowcaster is a big thing in Wookiee culture, Im sure someone can explain it better. As far as I know Geonosian and Massassi weapons are just that, weapons, but for Wookiees the bowcaster has big meanings in their traditions and culture but like I said im sure someone can explain in more detail.

looks like that's a negative... as a wookiee, i have all three schematics in my datapad to begin with - so i'm guessing it's just like live... (schematics posted in the schematic thread)

All wookiees recieve the bowcaster schematic, and can craft the bowcaster at novice artisan (right now at least)

The big issue is all the components you don't get the schematics and skill for untill novice weaponsmith and higher. So, unless you loot/buy all the parts, you can't even attempt to create the bowcaster from scratch untill you are a bonefide wookiee weaponsmith.

I made my first bowcaster night before last, I'm pretty happy. Totaly failed the experiment phase, but the over-all results seemed ok.
7.5 sec, 93/153 dmg, 16.6% wound, can't remember the HAM, but it didn't seem bad. Gotta find some more matched blaster power cells and some quality doonium iron...ugh...roamed all over the galaxy to find the parts for the first one..hope the next is easier to complete

Ya, but I was referring to Post CURB bowcasters..supposedly there are three types. The guy above answered the question. I will say....if they are any good, I might just consider becopming a rifleman and have my wookiee actually use one.

It looks like the Assault bowcaster (Master Rifleman) will use the same components and resources as the T21 so I would expect it to be around the same stats. I think the bowcasters will match or beat any other rifle on the same level.

You can make casters without artisan

Also... I think that giving us the cert for casters is cool and all, but I'D RATHER HAVE SOMETHING USEFUL!
