Nah... not too good.
Master WS crafted ones are much better.

Why isn't the quality looted weapon components better? I can't see any reason for the items to drop if they are all completely useless. I've personally looted many weapon components and every single one of them was crap. It seem pointless to hand them out as loot.

Ive looted quite a few good if not great components, but in kiling random corsecs in coronet due to my -5k cprsec faction ive looted tons of them, and if every component that dropped was better than the crafted one's then whats teh point of having weaponsmiths? then just make it like EQ where everything is looted

I don't see any problem at all with the quality of loot being improved, in fact I would say that this should have been the main focus of the loot revamp, what I see from the loot revamp is just adding more crap to fill inventory and not addressing any real issues with the loot in the game.
Looted BPHs and all weapon component lootshould be improved to be atleast on par with crafted standards.
They don't drop so much that they would be common.
They can't take Krayt tissue.
Could be more variety in weapons, i.e. increase minimum damage.
you can't do big factory runs with them.
In their current incarnation, there is no point for them to even exist other than to give weaponsmiths a headache.

Every looted component is "crap", because it is of the normal variant, and not the advanced one. So, the handlers you have may be good for normal components, but still advanced crafted are better.

The FF stocks and the high velocity pistols barrels are both offer advantages over crafted, but they are from the theme parks not general loot.
It sucks to go to the bazaar and see pages and pages of crappy sword cores and blaster barrels that noone would ever use.

I'l correct ya here (Partially). FF Stocks have better speed mods than crafted Stocks. My personal stocks are +.294 while the FF stocks are -.5 so that is a swing of about .8 in the good direction. However the FF stocks are 25 min damage and 30 max damage and my stocks are 40/40 min/max. I prefer to use my ff stocks in flame throwers and Carbines because speed is very important there. However I don't think I would ever use a FF stock in a T21 because of the lower max damage anda lotrifleman that are out there using a T21 are speed caped already.

FF stocks are good because of the speed and because they add no HAM.
