Hello,
I've started to look into what I can do post CU and how my 1st best resources compare with 2nd best - with mass production that awaits me I wanted to try making weapons with resources I have more.
Was testing ABPHs with two resources being tried in two flavors:
Ore - 998 OQ (1st best) and 989 (2nd best)
Alumiunium - 799CD/996OQ (1st best) and 763/965 (2nd best)
Now using all best and experimenting speed to max then damage (12 exper points) I got following results:
1st best - 18-44/-1.8066057/4
Then I switched Ore, got: 18-44/-1.8061502/4 seems reasonable.
In both cases after assembly I got 26% on all 3 bars. 90% maxed line after experimentation (speed or damage, havent tested efficiency)
Then I switched aluminium...
First surprise was when I got 20/22/20% on assembly.. then I experimented and all I could pull was 18-44/-1.5229994/5 ... max experimentation on bar was 76%...
Now riddle me this:
aluminium is 8 units of resource on top of 44 total - thats 18.2%
Stats difference is 67 over 1800 - thats 3.72%
Combined effect should be 3.72% x 18.2% - thats 0.67%..... and Im gettin 4-6% drop on assembly and 14% (!!) drop on max experimentation.
I tried many times with different resource combinations and Im getting this results consistenly, bare one amazing on assembly that gave 14% on stats...
I checked that against new resource experimentation caps rules, and it would be ok, if this aluminium was only resource in the schematic... which it isn't...

The problem is that the stat difference ISNT just 67 ... the new changes to crafting take into account the min and max of the resource. For Phrik, it has a CD range of 692 - 800. Your 799 has a percentage of:
(799-692)/(800-692) = 107/108 = 99.07
While the 763 is:
(763-692)/(800-692) = 71/108 = 65.74
As you can see, the change is much bigger when you take this into account.

I just ran the numbers through the new system :-)
The max exp on the two resources are
98.25 on the first one due to the cap being 800 on CD and 1000 on OQ
The second on the other hand only scores a bleak 75.277% due to the narrow caps on CD in phrik aluminum.
The minimum cap on CD is 692 which means that 762 is at about the 50% mark between the two resource caps...
Try putting the resources into the little tool in my sig and you will see what I mean
by the way :-) /drool on first phrik
-hugs- Hope I made sence

Yes, I checked the stat influence using post CU tool (its linked in some thread around here) and on phrik I got rating of 98% on the 1st best and 76% on the second best.
This is 22% difference in current crafting system and I understand it. However I fail to understand how a 22% difference on 8 out of 44 resource units going into schematic results in 14% drop in max experimentation ? It should be around 4%.....
PS. This Phrik is all time best on Eclipse, called Duroatasite. I have some left of it, but was looking into using second best as it wasnt much worse pre-CU and I have very big stockpile of it.
