Thread: Can someoe help explain weapons in CU

Yea Im so confused when it comes to weapons now, don't know how to tell if they are good weapons. DPS is what confuses me what is the difference between ie 200 dps/ sec and 200 dps/ sec0 or is that a bug? Will someone please explain to me

yes, that is a bug in the text. don't worry about it.
weapons are a lot more functional nw, however the issues weaponsmiths have is the number of useless weapons (it grew, if you can believe that). however, for you, the combatant, you now get choices. the three major areas of concern for the player are DPS, Speed, and Action Cost. each of these styles have teir own benefit. If you are going for fast rataliations, like applying states and debuffs, since these specials don't really do much damage anyway you should use a gun that has been sped up to its maximum. if you are a nuker (damage dealer), then obviously you want something with as high of base DPS as you can get (don't worry about modified DPS, just look at base to determine what's good and what's not). if you are a player who uses a lot specials, then you might want to go for the lower action cost, especially if you are very high accuracy and rarely miss. the system, when calculating DPS, does not take into consideration how many times a player might miss. if you never miss, a fast weapon with low action cost could make your DPS significantly higher than what is listed.
