Hello,

I am not a weaponsmith but I have a question. My weaponsmith, who I use exclusively now, has made me several pistols that have been good quality and more importantly hes fast about it. Bu I recently purchased a Krayt Republic Blaster. I gave him 4 tissues of +57, -.4 speed (not sure if the speed stat is exact). The 3 were for the weapon and the fourth was my payment for the gun. When I recieved the weapon, it was like 70-257, 2.2 speed. Now the kicker is the distance mods. It was +0 at 0km, -36 at Ideal Range, and +0 at 64km. I mentioned this to him and he was shocked and found that his entire crate of Republics (nonKrayt) were similar. Is everyones like this or is there something he missed or did wrong? Looking for some insight...

slap your weaponsmith, he didn't use a scope.

Other than that, the mods look correct, normally they look like this:

+0 @ 0m (point blank)

-27 @ 0m (ideal)

+0 @ 64m (max)

That's with a +10 ideal accuracy scope, straight off my last batch of republics.

And yes, it's totally messed up. Both min and ideal range are zero meters (huh?) and no pistol should be at +0 that far out.

Republic blasters are fun to have now, but realistically they are due for a change. Whether it will be a good or bad change is yet to be determined.

The certification is undeiably messed up, they will change this whenever they get around to it.

The ranges however, I think are way off, at least for a pistol. If this was how they intended the pistol to be (2 - point blank ranges? **edit**?) then great. But imho the ranges are inappropriate for a pistol, and will be changed to be more pistol-like. Good point blank, excellent ideal, poor at 60+.

While I agree with you that the RBs need a change, I'm not so certain anymore that the certification is messed up. We were doing a little bit of research into this and the Republic Blaster Certification seems to be racially based.

From what we've seen Zabraks don't get this cert at all. Not sure about a few others. This would make some amount of sense as the Zabrak was not a part of the republic.
