I read the other day that it is worth making scopes and experimenting down the efficiency and getting the range bonus on weapons...

I tried this and came up with 0/10 1/1/1

is this acceptable to use on weapons or do I really need to get the Ham stats all the way to 0?

1/1/1 is fine; because of the way the system rounds numbers a 0/0/0 scope will usually add 1/1/1, so your scopes will probably produce the same end stats as everyone else's.

I probably wouldn't scream at 2/2/2 or less but beyond that the extra pain isn't worth a little accuracy.
