Thread: Any 12 point Wookie smiths ever make a nice bow caster?

Hey there,
I asked the other day and found out wookie's dont get exp points to make there bow caster.. Soo they gotta be a wookie WS
Anyways, ive had a hard time finding a wookie WS and have never heard of a nice krayt bow caster.
My Q is have any of you wookies out there, with more than 10 points, if there are any... ever make an uber krayt bow-caster??
Im honestly thinking about making a master WS/smuggler wookie just to do this,, I know its silly but ive wanted to do it for a year now and i think im going to.
Just curroius if anyone out there has ever done this. Besides Wookies RULE ! !

First you don't NEED 12 points to make a really nice bowcaster (they will max out experiment wise before 100% anyway)
Second Bowcasters take both power handlers and projectile feed mechs which mean they can be enhanced by krayt tissue AND spider fangs/gorax shards.

I have a MWS wookiee alt and a master WS human main. My main has 12 points but seeing as how wookiee's can wear so few items, getting 12 points for them is very difficult. I have used my main to create the subcomponents including krayt PHs and spider fang feed mechs. I had a very succesfull auction here:

Luckily, I knew of some bowcaster collectors on Ahazi and got them in on the auction. Since a T21 will outpower a bowcaster, I find that my regular (unenhanced) line of casters sells very slowly.

I know on Eclipse there is a 10pt WS called RazorTounge who makes Krayt enhanced bowcasters. I couldnt tell you the stats on them though. You can go and check his vendor out on Tattooine, in the city of Mos Kashyyyk. Hes in a house called "Mos Kashyyyk's Finest weapons and armor" near the shuttle.
I should really know what he does as hes my neighbour.

Gee, I had assumed it was a trick question. I thought "nice bowcaster" was an oxymoron. With no armor piercing to boost the damage, bowcasters are really only for noob wookiee IMO. If you folks are seeing good ones out there, I now have hope. (I have a wook WS as an "alt" on Shadowfire.)

Ihave been informed that the Wookiee WS on Eclipse makes better bowcasters than the ones pictured in previous posts. (I sent him the pic as he doesnt frequent this forum) I might try and get a few screen shots of them when I log in tonight.
I personaly havent used a bowcaster since I was doing rifleman with my Wookiee in the first month. Now I only use one for show. So I have no idea what are good or not.

Bowcasters havean advantage in that you can enhance both the feed mech and the power handler - you can get up to 330-340 max damage (depending on minerals) using cheap components. The best I have made came out around 450-460 max damage and around 4.0 speed (unsliced, i cant remember the stats exactly) with very nice bone shards and krayt tissues.
I only make enhanced bowcasters for custom orders, as they do not sell well enough to justify stocking them.
