Being a swordman the high level weapons can he expensive to buy.

I was thinking of buying a weaponsmith toolset to use when repairing weapons.

but will it make alot of difference ?

Repairs have been messed up for a while now. The dev's swear nothing has changed, but the community has noticed that something has definetly changed, and for the worse.

I'm not sure what your looking at paying for that toolset, but I'd say no, it's not worth it.
You could always pay a smith to repair your weapons for you, but even then there's no real guarantee of a quality repair, it's just the system we have to live with. /sigh

not to mention that there is no hard evidence that +to repair mods even work... its all just speculation, but from my experiance they don't do anything.

No. Purchase the toolset if you need a +bump to assembly and experimentation skills, but people are correct - something really bad happened to repairs back during that patch. SOE decided too many uber weapons were around, and keeping them repaired didn't fit with their plans.

I have +9 in weapons repair (WS toolbelt +5, looted a +4 off an Imp) I've repaired with and without it and have gotten similar results. So far I haven't destroyed any weapons *knocks on wood* and have only destroyed 1 wookie leggings armor with a 67% tool, the rest of the armor and weapon repairs using both 67% and 99% have had conditions reduced by 20% and only rarely with minor blemish.

Unknown, don't bother though, unless you've got expendable capital for it.
