Hey, I've now reached master weaponsmith, but I don't know where to go from here. I do not have many lots left for harvesters (I don't want to destroy my faction forward outpost). Any help would be appreciated.

Personally I hit master a few weeks ago and now I'm trying to slowly build up my store of resources. It takes a while as you wait for them to shift in. You can also do the various themeparks and dungeons to get the loot schematics. As far as selling weapons, I'm making the weapons I'm able to make half-way decent and holding off on the others until I have decent resources. I'm also keeping an eye out for various skill mods so I can hit 11 then 12 point master, but most of my money has gone to reaching this point, so I'm taking it slow.

Start with melee weapons. Gaffis and swords require fairly generic materials and will be the highest quality the fastest. Ranged weapons and master level weapons, especially those that use Advanced Vibro Units, take a little longer to gather the high quality materials to bring them up to competitive levels.

Ok. What should I do about getting the resources? Should I try and clear as many lots as I can so I can harvest my own?

Yes, free up as many lots as you can. I like to use 10 BER medium harvestors, though if you're really lowon lots you'll probably want to get 13 BER heavies. You'll want to get some gas harvestors as well, and a few chemical and maybe one good flora harvestor for wood.

In the old days - last year - most master craftspeople had resource suppliers, as selling resources was very lucrative. Even with the cost of purchasing resources, a weaponsmith could still make a decent profit.

These days, with credits so freely available, there aren't as many people willing to put in the effort required to be a reliable resource supplier. Resource prices have dropped as well. Also, as hundreds and hundreds of newly-minted weaponsmiths step off the barrel-grind boat, weapons prices have dropped dramatically for all but loot-enhanced weaponry.

Bottom line? If you're serious about weapons, better start acquiring your own resources. Either get an alt account or decide whether faction buildings mean more than weaponsmithing. SWG is a game of choices...

Try and clear lots.

Also, if someone in your guild sells resources, the odds are they don't know what a 'good' spawn is (beyond looking for 900+ in all areas). They're unlikely to know that 700UT Neutronium Steel is pretty damn good Neutronium.

See if you can get them to harvest what you want, and cut you a deal for tipping them off.

I'll place what I can now. I'll just have to wait till my outpost is destroyed before I go much further into WS .

hehehe, I didn't make one barrel. Heavy Warhead Mechanisms... took a huge chunk out of my bank account
