Thread: Help making Advanced Laser Rifle

Just wondering if the schematic is up to date on SWG Craft, I have never been a weapon smith but I'm trying to collect resources to make an Advanced Laser Rifle.


Assuming we already have the best resources, I was concerned about the enhancments.


I have 6 identical krayt tissues around 80 max damage and -1.1 on the speed

Also, will adding scopes and stocks help out also? Where do I get the best of these?

Try and buy some Pre-CU stocks and scopes. They will improve your rifle.

In testing that i have carried out i wouldnt waste putting krayt tissues into an Advanced Laser Rifle : below are the results of the testing that i carried out. Both weapons were made using pre-CU components except the Krayt ABPH for the laser rifle.


Advanced Laser Rifle (made with +77 Krayt Tissues)


speed 2.57 - Modified speed 1.54


Damage 516-1099


Accuracy Bonus +17


Base DPS 314.26/sec- Modified DPS 522.5


T21


speed 2.48 - modified speed 1.49


damage 528 - 1031


Accuracy Bonus +1


Base DPS 314.13 - Modified DPS 522.27


I carried out 10 shots with each rifle on a jedi using just the basic ranged attack. The laser rifle hit for 532 damage 6/10 times and the T21 hit 499 damage 8/10 times. So fari am dissapointed with the accuracy, however the combat log only shows misses not whether the jedi blocked them. When the jedi used force aura the damage stats were reversed, the T21 hit for 261 points and the Laser Rifle hit for 255 points.


This is a limited test but also brings up another question, is it worth putting scopes on weapons. In the 10 shots with each riflethe T21 faired better, a total of 3992 points of damage compared to 3192 points of damage with the Advanced Laser Rifle

I use the default attack quite a bit, and with food, I regen action faster than I can shoot it off. So I was thinking the -1.1 speed on the tissues, and then the +17 or so accuracy from a pre-cu component would be the way to go.


My current Laser rifle:


Speed: 238
Modified: 1.46


Damage: 508 - 1050


Accuracy Bonus: 17


Estimated DPS: 326.84


Your DPS: 532.2


SAC: 106

because of action cost i've done many many.....way to many...experimentations on different pistols/carbs/rifles/commando weapons and post CU stocks/scopes in the long run are much better.....granted they add dmg but they also don't subtract action cost and that's the killer.....what's the point in high dmg if u can only take 5 shots?

Huh?? Post-CU Stocks and Scopes are much worse. Pre-CU could add +40 to min and max dmg and are -20 SAC. Post-CU are about -10 SAC only, how is that better? Also pre-CU Scopes can give you Acc +16, post-CU only around +8 Acc.


Use pre-CU if you can get them.
