One quick question, are the pre-cu stocks the only componenttype that isbetter thanu can make post cu (ignoring for a moment today's patch). The reason i ask is that I have a few crates of old parts left and no resources at the moment to make new components, buti wish to make myself a ranged weapon or 2 with some krayt tissue. I need to know whether I should go buy some good resources to make all the components or whether the pre-cu components are better anyway.

oh no! they nerfed the stocks completely so that there is no damage added
can anyone tell me if the pre-cu stocks are still better than the post-cu stocks or whether they are now rendered worse?

All my pre-CU barrels are better. My old scopes are all better. My base power handlers are all better. Haven't been online to see the stock nerf yet. You'll probably bebest served by justcrafting onlythenew power handlers using the tissues and accepting a little more SAC.
I assume you know how weapon resources are graded against their statistical cap instead of 1 -1000 now. For example, a 100% Duralloy is 650/1000 cond/oq....doing the NEW math, a Duralloy of 650/880would now be better than one of 600/950....
Good luck

Not sure if this is the same for everyone, but all my pre-CU components are much better than anything I could craft now using the exact same resources. I've found out I'd need around 25 experimentation-points to get close to the same level on new ABPH's, and even then I would fall short. The thing with the stocks is that they were ridiculously much better since they added a pretty nice amount of damage, while newly crafted stocks can't even add a single point no matter what. Even without the damage though, the converted stocks are vastly superior to newly crafted ones. You'll never get -20 SAC at zero speed-penalty on a new stock, not even with perfect resources and 12 experimentation-points.

all my pre-cu components are better than post -cu components... however all my post-cu weapons that I have made with my pre-cu components are better than my pre-cu weapons

with 9 amazings on efficiency and 3 greats on speed, my stock came out -23 SAC and +1.05 speed (really .105 speed). That is a tad lower than pre-CU stock but pre-CU stock has 0 speed added. Guess you need to decide if .1 speed is worth 3 SAC, that is if you have 12 experimentation points.
