I just looted 7 14min 20max Yellow cubes. Then I looted 6 21max damage pastes. Now, I'd have to burn a complete scythe schematic but I can make two really nice sycthes out of this, or should I hold the cubes and hope that I get a set of 7 pastes? HELP!!!

Sorry bud you are 1 short of 7 on a set... You need 7 of both to make 2 with 1 use. So.. I'd say wait until you get a set of 7

Yeah, wait for a set of 7 pastes; it's only a matter of time until you loota set. Or maybe you can get a nice set of 7 on auction.

Yeah, I know... But what I was asking was, should I use both charges of the schematic. But its looking like thats a no go

Well it is up to you, schematics aren't cheap and if you are impatient sure go for it. Otherwise wait for a matching 7
. It is easier to get a dmg slice out of 4 scythes than 2.

Personally I'd try and find 7 really good pastes and make 3 scyths, sure you'd burn 1 and 1/2 schms, but you'd have 3 really really good scyths, cubes like that are rarer than a scyth schm imho
